Care Instructions
Your Adorno&crafts creation is made from natural wool and built to last — but a little care goes a long way. Here's how to keep it looking its best for years to come.
Display
- Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading
- Avoid damp or humid environments — wool is naturally moisture-absorbent
- A shelf, mantelpiece, or desk is perfect. Avoid windowsills that get strong sun
Cleaning
- Dust: Gently brush with a soft, dry brush or use a cool blast from a hairdryer
- Light marks: Dab gently with a barely damp cloth. Do not rub or soak
- Never machine wash, hand wash, or submerge in water — this will felt the wool further and distort the shape
Keychains
- Your keychain is designed for everyday use and is made with tightly felted wool for durability
- Over time, the wool may pill slightly from friction — this is normal and can be gently trimmed with small scissors
- If the keyring attachment loosens, a small pair of pliers will tighten it right up
Storage
- If storing for a season, wrap loosely in tissue paper (not plastic — wool needs to breathe)
- Add a small cedar block or lavender sachet to deter moths
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat
Pets & Children
- Felted pieces contain small parts (eyes, keyring attachments) and felting needles may leave tiny embedded barbs — they are not suitable as toys for young children or pets
- If you have cats, they may be very interested in wool felted items! Keep displayed pieces out of paw's reach
If Something Goes Wrong
- Small loose fibres can be gently needle-felted back into place (if you have a felting needle)
- For anything more serious, get in touch — I'm always happy to advise on repairs, and in some cases I can fix and return pieces
