About
Meet Eleonora
Every Adorno&crafts piece begins with a handful of soft wool and a single needle. No moulds, no machines — just patient, careful work by hand, one poke at a time.
I'm Eleonora, a Sicilian maker living in the ancient city of York. I fell in love with needle felting as a way to create tiny characters full of personality — the kind of thing that makes you smile when you spot it on a shelf or pull it from a gift bag.
Each piece takes hours of careful shaping and layering. I use quality wool, chosen for its softness and the way it holds fine detail. Every whisker, every feather, every tiny expression is built up slowly until the character feels just right.
How It's Made
Needle felting is one of the simplest and most ancient textile arts — and one of the most meditative. A barbed needle is used to tangle wool fibres together, gradually building shape and density from a loose cloud of roving into a solid, sculptural form.
There's no glue, no wire armature, no shortcuts. Just wool, needles, and time. The result is something that feels alive in your hands — soft, warm, and full of character.
From Catania to York
I grew up in Catania, Sicily, surrounded by colour, texture, and a deep appreciation for things made by hand. When I moved to York, I brought that love of craft with me — and found needle felting.
What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. I opened my Etsy shop in 2020, and since then I've sent over 500 handmade pieces to homes across the world. Every single one received a five-star review.
That's not a marketing claim — it's a promise I make to every customer. If it's not perfect, it doesn't leave my home.
What Matters to Me
- Quality over quantity — I'd rather make fewer pieces and make them beautifully than rush to fill orders
- Sustainable materials — I use recycled packaging and source wool from responsible suppliers
- Personal touch — every order includes handwritten care instructions and a little something extra
- Honest pricing — you're paying for hours of skilled handwork, quality materials, and genuine care
Every piece is waiting to find its home. Have a browse — and if you'd like something custom, just ask.
